Opis:
Two bloodstained swatches of leather taken from the limousine US president John F Kennedy was riding in when he was assassinated has sold for almost $47,000 USD / €43.900 euros at auction. The light blue and dark blue swatches were salvaged from the seats of the 1961 Lincoln Continental X-100 presidential car in Dallas ,Texas on November 22, 1963 when he was shot by Lee Harvey Oswald. They came with aa detailed letter of provenance on White House letterhead from technical service representative F. Vaughn Ferguson, whose primary responsibility was the care of the limo. Mr. Ferguson was the only person granted continual hands-on contact with the vehicle after Kennedy's murder. He said the light blue leather was from the centre of the rear seat. The dark blue leather is from the border of the rear seat.
