Cérémonie d'accueil du président Emmanuel Macron et de sa femme Brigitte Macron sur la place fédérale de Berne, Suisse le 15 novembre 2023. Le président de la République Française et sa femme sont en visite d'état à l'invitation du Conseil fédéral suisse. La Confédération suisse accueille la première communité française à l'étranger, avec près de 200 000 inscrits au registre consulaire. La Suisse est un partenaire économique très important, et nos relations denses avec des investissements croisés très importants, faisant de la Suisse le 3ème investisseur en France et réciproquement. Par ailleurs, la France et la Suisse sont Etats hôtes de l'Organisation européenne pour la recherche nucléaire (CERN) à Genève, modèle d'innovation technologique dans le monde entier. Dans le contexte international actuel, cette visite sera l'occasion d'échanger sur le renforcement de la coopération entre la France et la Suisse face aux grandes crises, notamment sur la guerre en Ukraine ou la situation au Proche-Orient. La visite du chef de l'Etat s'inscrit également dans une nouvelle dynamique des coopérations avec la Suisse à l'échelle continentale, puisque la Confédération s'est pleinement investie au sein de la Communauté politique européenne, et la relance des discussions entre la Suisse et l'Union européenne. © Dominique Jacovides / Bestimage Welcome ceremony for President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte Macron on the Bundesplatz in Bern, Switzerland on 15 November 2023. The President of the French Republic and his wife are on a state visit at the invitation of the Swiss Federal Council. The Swiss Confederation is home to France's largest community abroad, with almost 200,000 people on its consular register. Switzerland is a very important economic partner, and our relations are very close, with substantial cross-investment, making Switzerland the 3rd largest investor in France and vice versa. France and Switzerland are also host states to the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Geneva, a model of technological innovation for the entire world. In the current international context, this visit will provide an opportunity to exchange views on strengthening cooperation between France and Switzerland in the face of major crises, in particular the war in Ukraine and the situation in the Middle East. The Head of State's visit is also part of a new dynamic of cooperation with Switzerland on a continental scale, since the Confederation has fully invested itself within the European Political Community, and the relaunch of discussions between Switzerland and the European Union.
