Pictures MUST credit: Julien's Auctions A black cocktail dress worn by the late Princess Diana heads a fashion suction which features clothes from celebrity wardrobes. An 1985 silk and velvet frock was created by one of the Princess of Wales's favourite designers, Catherine Walker and is expected to fetch up to $200,000 USD. It was worn to a private event and features an off-the-shoulder neckline, seamed bodice with boned interior bustier and a knee-length hem. The bias-cut ivory satin accents are sewn at the neckline, cuffs, and hem. The dress is lined with black silk and is designed always to look flawless when worn by Diana. Author and fashion expert Georgina Howell documented Diana's preference in her book, Diana : Her Life In Fashion.
