A new information board has been unveiled to explain the history of the Henley Royal Regatta. The plaque in Riverside includes important dates in the history of the town from 1818 to 2023.These include 1829, when the first Boat Race was held on the Henley reach, 1857, when the branch rail line from Twyford to Henley was completed, and 1981, when Princess Grace of Monaco presented the prizes at the regatta., Credit:Geoffrey Swaine / Avalon
