Pictures MUST credit: NBC Rock legend Sir Rod Stewart cold called former pop pianist turned TV presenter Jools Holland to make an album together — and Holland thought he had been hoaxed. Rod, 79, wanted to make an LP of old swing classics and thought Holland, 66 , who was a long term member in the 70s and 80s of British band Squeeze , would be the perfect choice to accompany him. Stewart and Holland revealed what happened when they appeared together on the Jimmy Fallon US chat show in the USA to publicise the recording called Swing Fever Sir Rod said: "Well, I was trying to make this album with another band in Los Angeles, but it wasn't working out too good. "It was a bit too smooth, didn't have any rock edge to it. "So I was looking for somebody. And, of course, I found Jools, who I've not known really well, but know of him, and I called him up.” Picture supplied by JLPPA
