Pictures must credit: Royal Mint The late chart-topping pop superstar George Michael has been honoured with a set of special edition coins. They feature his sunglasses and slicked back hair look from his debut solo album Faith. They have been created by the UK's Royal Mint to honour the singer songwriter who found fame with teen idols Wham in the 1980s and then as a solo performer. The design was by artist and sculptor Sandra Deiana. She said: "From the beginning of the project, I was clear about certain elements that I wanted to incorporate into the design. "I wanted a detailed portrait that captured his charismatic expression - I was particularly thinking of his iconic sunglasses. "It's amazing to be able to pay tribute to his music and what you see in the design is truly a piece of George Michael's song.” Picture supplied by JLPPA
