Pictures must credit: Bonhams A paper napkin inscribed with the promise of a contract between future world superstar footballer Lionel Messi and Spanish giants Barcelona is set to score a massive sale price at auction. The napkin was the first written offer the then schoolboy Argentina World Cupwinner Mess, then aged just 13. It is expected to fetch between £300,000 GBP / €350.780 euros and £500,000 GBP / €584.670 euros. It is set to go under the hammer in an online auction from March 18 to 27 by London saleroom Bonhams. The commitment to a contract was written on the napkin in blue ballpoint pen by Barcelona's then-sporting director Carles Rexach.
