Pictures must credit: Stella Artois David Beckham fails to score with girls in a bar — as they want their beers, not him, in a fun new commercial. The former Manchester United , Real Madrid and England footballer stars in a new global campaign for Stella Artois lager. The ad satirically positions the taste of Stella Artois as worth more than even a chance encounter to meet David Beckham at a bar. Beckham, 48, co-owner of USA MLS soccer team Inter Miami is seen walking into a bar where a barman is pouring draught Stella. He asks for a beer but the barman replies:” Just one sec”. Two women in the bar glance over at David who smiles as he becomes aware of their stares. Eventually they walk over to him and one taps him on the shoulder. Beckham expects them to ask for an autograph or selfie. But instead the woman asks him if she can get to the three beers which the bar man has laid out on the counter. One is for her and one for a male friend. Then her friend follows up to get hers. That's why the barman asked Beckham to wait while he poured. Picture supplied by JLPPA
