Un évêque et trois fidèles agressés lors d'une attaque au couteau à l'Eglise Christ The Good Shepherd à Wakeley près de Sydney, le 15 avril 2024. Un homme vêtu de noir s'est approché de l'autel et aurait poignardé à plusieurs reprises l'évêque Mar Mari Emmanuel. Des images horribles de l'incident, diffusées en direct sur la page YouTube de l'église, montrent Mgr Emmanuel lever les yeux avec étonnement alors que l'agresseur lui donne soudainement des coups au visage et à la tête. L'agresseur a été arrêté par la police. Horrific footage of the incident, broadcast live on the church's YouTube page, shows Bishop Emmanuel looking up in astonishment as the attacker suddenly punches him in the face and head. The attacker was arrested by the police. Another knife attack left six people dead in a shopping center in Sydney two days earlier.
