Pictures must credit: Roadside Attractions Talented Mr Ripley movie heartthrob Jude Law looks virtually unrecognisable in his latest role — as six times married English monarch Henry VIII. The star, 51, dons a fat suit to play the Tudor king's overweight final years suffering from ill-health in the movie called Firebrand. The movie concentrates on his relationship with the last of his wives, Katherine Parr, played by Swedish Tomb Raider actress Alicia Vikander, 35. Henry was 49 when he married Katherine, aged 30, in 1543 and had become corpulent while an old jousting leg wound needed and caused him much pain. In the film Parr reluctantly agrees to become Henry's wife and becomes regent when the king goes to fight overseas/ But increasing religious tensions sees Henry's courtiers suspect she's a threat to their power so cast doubts upon her fidelity. Katherine's childhood friend Anne Askew becomes one of the scores of people convicted of treason and burned at the stake. The film is due in theatres in June Picture supplied by JLPPA via Bestimage
