Pictures must credit: Sleepypod A crash test dummy for dogs is making pets safer in cars. A pet product company has announced replicas of greyhound-type sighthound breeds and a new German shepherd. California-based Sleepypod says the dummies join nine crash test dogs and even cats designed and built in-house. They were originally created to test Sleepypod's in-car pet safety restraints and harnesses. The firm's co-founder and lead product designer Michael Leung said:"Crash test pets are critical for testing Sleepypod's car safety restraints so we can expose possible flaws that could compromise the safety of a pet in a car crash.” Picture supplied by JLPPA
