The all electric powered Buick Electra Orbit concept may have retro styling inspiration but employs futuristic technology. It was conceived and developed by the Chinese branch of US based car maker General Motors. In particular, it was GM China's Advanced Design Center. The Electra Orbit is said to stretch "the boundaries” of Buick design and hints at what the future could hold. The car is nearly six meters long and over two meters wide. It has a low front, expansive body on 24-inch wheels are framed by sculptural wheel arches, There are vertical opening scissor doors and inside the cabin crafted storage area with custom luggage. The concept is ina neutral metallic colour named Space for "reflecting the hues of the universe.” A sweeping arch-shaped display spans the dash for an immersive digital experience. The instrument panel and steering wheel reconfigure across driving modes, shifting between driver-centric focus and autonomous. A wormhole-inspired interface serves as the intelligent AI assistant, while the centre console's ball-shaped controller is said to offer intuitive physical command of vehicle functions.
