A volunteer records passport details of a woman evacuated from a frontline community at a transit center that began operating on November 25, 2025, Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine, on January 8, 2026. The facility functions as a one-stop shop, where evacuees can process documents, open bank accounts, and receive financial, humanitarian, psychological, and legal assistance. Evacuees are able to stay at the center for three to seven days before being relocated to temporary housing in the regional center or to safer parts of Ukraine.
